Bitcoin options contracts worth $3.7 billion are expiring on Friday, November 8. This is a larger number than last week’s due to increased trading volumes and market volatility. The put/call ratio for this week is 0.72, indicating more long (calls) contracts than short (puts) expiries. Open interest is highest at the $80,000 strike price with $1.7 billion in open interest.

The election market is cooling down, and despite strong gains in both Bitcoin and Ethereum, the options market is showing profitable closing. In addition to Bitcoin options, there are around 294,000 Ethereum options contracts expiring, with a combined crypto options expiry notional value of about $4.5 billion.
