Jaw-dropping Ripple (XRP) transfer: Will the whale sell?

Blockchain payments company Ripple transferred 200 million Ripple ($XRP ) to an unidentified wallet.

It has been suggested that the move may be related to Ripple’s ongoing lawsuit with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). However, the exact reason remains unknown. Ripple, which has been in a legal battle with the regulator for a while, has been worrying investors with the transfer of 200 million XRP (approximately $110 million).

As Ripple’s ongoing legal battle with the SEC reaches a critical stage, the company’s chief legal officer Stuart Alderoty expressed positive expectations for the upcoming decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Alderoty said he believes the court will either uphold or expand the decision of Judge Analisa Torres, who previously ruled in favor of Ripple. He also saw a low probability that the SEC’s appeals will be successful.

On the other hand, Ripple founder Chris Larsen donated $ 10 million to the election campaign of US Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, which brought criticism that the company took a political position due to its own interests. It is thought that the final decision in Ripple’s case could affect future regulations of the crypto market in the US.
