Once again, the DOGE community is abuzz with excitement due to Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and a prominent Dogecoin booster. A Shiba Inu, a dog often associated with Dogecoin, was prominently featured at the debut of Tesla's new driverless car, the "Cybercab," which sent DOGE supporters into a frenzy.

Community Reactions on Dogecoin
A Dogecoin official account on X (formerly Twitter) called Musk out by name, calling his look "a Shiba Inu taxi." Many are wondering whether Tesla has any intentions of incorporating Dogecoin into their payment systems, given this inconspicuous inclusion.

A number of well-known Dogecoin users shared their enthusiasm on X. "Wait, did Elon just say we can buy a Tesla Cybercab with Dogecoin?" DogeDesigner (@cb_doge), with whom Musk regularly engages, raised an eyebrow. Just before Doge hopped into the Cybercab, he delivered the bombshell, "You'll be able to buy one!"

Sir Doge of the Coin, another prominent member of the DOGE community, took notice of the moment's importance, tweeting, "Tesla featured a Shiba Inu Doge in their Robotaxi unveiling video." A member of the community named Đoge420 also chimed in on the topic, asking whether DOGE might be used to buy the new car. "Hold on a second. Did Elon just say that we can use Dogecoin to purchase a Tesla Cybercab?" "He dropped the bombshell that you'll be able to buy one" just before Doge hopped into the Cybercab, she wrote.

All New Tesla Cybercab

While presenting the Cybercab on a Hollywood set, Elon Musk himself arrived in the car. Autonomous vehicles, he said, might be utilized five or even 10 times more often than they already are since they "just do nothing" much of the time.

The Cybercab is an automated two-seater vehicle that has scissor doors and doesn't have a steering wheel or accelerator pedal. A big touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard is reminiscent of the minimalist design seen in Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y. The Cybercab stands out because it can be charged wirelessly and inductively, doing away with the need for a standard charging cable.

Technical data like range, battery capacity, and charging speed were not revealed, although Musk did drop hints about a lofty manufacturing schedule. The cars are anticipated to be priced below $30,000 when production starts in 2026. Musk plans to run a system of autonomous Tesla taxis that can be accessed via an app. He wants to bring down transportation expenses to $0.20/mile, which is far cheaper than the average of $1/mile for municipal buses.

Musk also introduced the "Robovan," an autonomous minibus that can seat up to twenty people, alongside the Cybercab. Optimus, Tesla's humanoid robot project, was also shown during the occasion. A squadron of these androids with human features showed up to show off what they could do. Optimus was a huge success for Musk's firm, he claims. He estimates that these robots will cost between $20,000 and $30,000 and sees them as indispensable to civilization.

For a long time, Musk has emphasized autonomous vehicles as crucial to Tesla's future. He even went so far as to say that Tesla owners might make money by using their cars in a robotaxi network.

DOGE's Price Reaction Does Not Occur

The addition of the Shiba Inu mascot has revived talks about possible connections between Tesla and Dogecoin, but no formal statements have been made about the acceptance of the cryptocurrency as payment for the Cybercab or other services. The community's assumption is further supported by Musk's track record of impacting Dogecoin's value via social media endorsements and hints.

But the DOGE hasn't done anything substantial yet. DOGE's 1.4% 24-hour gain is primarily reflective of the mood in the cryptocurrency market as a whole. Dogecoin was trading at $0.10845 as of the time of publishing.
