Sonic SVM has launched SonicX, the first Web3 game integrated with an embedded wallet on TikTok. This unique game’s primary goal is to help new users of the largest video-sharing website familiarize themselves with decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain technology. This a milestone that Ticker Games, SonicX has onboarded around 100K TikTok users to Web3 during the launching phase.

SonicX: Game Overview and Features

SonicX is an HTML5 clicker game inspired by successful “tap-to-earn” games like Notcoin and Hamster Kombat. Users can start playing directly within the TikTok app, tapping the screen to generate rings stored on the blockchain. Collecting rings makes players eligible for various blockchain-based rewards, including cryptocurrency and NFTs.

The game’s embedded wallet supports account abstraction features, facilitating easy password recovery without managing private keys. Players log in using their TikTok accounts, ensuring that all achievements and ring collections are recorded securely on the blockchain. Additionally, players can climb the leaderboard and complete daily challenges, with opportunities to earn extra rewards for referring friends.

Sonic SVM’s Vision for Blockchain Gaming

Sonic SVM, backed by $12 million in funding, aims to establish a foundation for blockchain gaming within the Solana ecosystem. The company has developed a unique infrastructure that allows developers to create game-specific Layer-2 networks. These networks enable efficient transaction processing off-chain, significantly reducing costs and increasing speed.

It has faced challenges in attracting blockchain game developers. The rise of dedicated gaming blockchains like Immutable X has further complicated this landscape. However, Sonic SVM’s infrastructure leverages the Sonic Virtual Machine and HyperGrid, enhancing Solana’s performance and scalability for Web3 gaming.

One advantage of SonicX’s embedded wallet is the ease of exporting private keys for use with other Web3 applications within the Solana ecosystem. This feature enhances the flexibility and usability of users’ accounts, encouraging broader adoption of blockchain gaming.

Chris Zhu, Co-founder & CEO of Sonic SVM, expressed enthusiasm about the simplified login flow on TikTok. The company aims to expand its user base further and enhance the experience across numerous Solana applications. Since its launch last month, SonicX has successfully onboarded over 120,000 TikTok users to the world of Web3.
