Erik Finman was just 12 years old when he used a $1,000 gift from his grandma to invest in Bitcoin, which was only about $10 at the time. After learning about Bitcoin at a protest, he became passionate about trading. Disliking high school, he made a deal with his parents: if he made $1 million by 18, he wouldn’t have to go back to school.
He sold $100,000 worth of Bitcoin to launch a company called Botangle, a platform that connected students and teachers through video chat. He sold Botangle two years later for 300 Bitcoins, and when Bitcoin rose to $2,700, he became a millionaire at 17.
With his earnings, Finman traveled the world, visiting cities like Dubai and London. Now in his 20s, he has significantly increased his Bitcoin investments and is worth millions. He’s also involved in a crypto startup and helped with the Crypto-Currency Act of 2020. His first big purchase was an Audi R8.
