👮♂️ The Taiwanese government has handed down prison sentences to eight Chinese spies, ranging from 18 months to 13 years. Notably, Beijing paid part of their compensation in cryptocurrency, even though it banned its use for citizens back in 2017.
The spies were accused of breaching national security laws, bribery, and leaking state secrets.
