According to PANews, Bitcoin mining company Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc. has filed a lawsuit against the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, contesting the denial of its air permit renewal. The company is also seeking injunctive relief to prevent any actions that would halt the plant's operations.

In addition to the legal action, Greenidge Generation has released its financial results for the second quarter. The company reported total revenue of $13.1 million and a net loss from continuing operations of $5.5 million. Compared to 2023, the company's sales, general, and administrative expenses for the first half of this year have decreased by $6.4 million. Greenidge Generation anticipates significant earnings growth in the coming quarters.
