According to Odaily, Cosmo Jiang, a general partner and portfolio manager at Pantera Capital, emphasized the growing importance of fundamental analysis in cryptocurrency investments as the industry matures. Jiang stated that the failure to integrate fundamental investment strategies into the crypto sector would signify a missed opportunity, as all assets ultimately adhere to the laws of gravity. He highlighted that the only aspect that has consistently mattered to investors over millennia is cash flow.
Jiang pointed out that the cryptocurrency market, initially driven by retail investors, has grown to a market capitalization of $3.4 trillion. However, he stressed that the continued growth of this asset class hinges on attracting institutional capital, which prioritizes fundamental analysis. He argued that logically, focusing on fundamentals is the only sustainable path to future profitability.
Pantera Capital, under Jiang's management, oversees approximately $5 billion in assets. Of this, around 75% is allocated to venture capital instruments, with the remaining portion invested in liquid assets.
