‘Step Up’: Justin Sun Calls For Change In China’s Crypto Stance Following Trump’s Speech

Justin Sun has called for China to change its stance on crypto

Donald Trump, former US president and Republican candidate, was the headline speaker at Saturday’s Bitcoin 2024 Conference. Consequently, this address has been reported as having prompted business leaders and lawmakers across the globe to put pressure on their governments to make cryptocurrencies legal and create competitive economies.

Justin Sun, who is the creator of Tron, wants China to “step up” and reform digital asset regulation.

In his discussion about Trump’s attendance at Bitcoin 2024 Conference on Sunday, Justin Sun unveiled that Former President Donald Trump declared that if elected president he would stop Biden administration’s “anti-crypto crusade.” Furthermore, he committed himself to firing SEC chairman Gary Gensler straight away from office after getting into power.

Trump said about the US Government’s cryptocurrency approach: “For too long our government has violated the cardinal rule that every bitcoiner knows by heart: Never sell your bitcoin.”

“The United States will be the crypto capital of the planet and the Bitcoin superpower of the world,” Trump stated at Nashville if I win in November. The Republican nominee further assured that all bitcoin owned or bought by US government should be maintained one hundred percent.

Tron's founder called on China to “step up” following this speech. Given that a Republican nominee has “pushed for Bitcoin”, does Mr. Sun think China should make further progress in this sector since US crypto policies are warming up?

“Competition between China and U.S. over Bitcoin policy will benefit everyone working in this industry,” said Sun. If China changes its legislation concerning cryptocurrencies, it may result in healthy competition amongst nation states.

Just like Sun had done before him, Hong Kong politician Johnny Ng gave his thoughts about Trump's speech regarding BTC.
