In his X post, Shaggy_Leaks revealed that MultiVersus could release the ranked mode on Thursday, August 1st. The news aligns with a prior announcement on the return of the ranked mode made by MultiVersus. The release will feature a ranked event expected to last until Tuesday 1st October. Shaggy stated that the end of this event is presumed to be a rank reset date.

Shaggy also outlined that the ranked mode will feature in three sets. He added that the ranked mode will have a level lock as an added feature. The level lock is similar to the ranked mode level lock set at level 20 in MultiVersus’ beta version. He added that the game will also introduce a new “Stars” system for ranked mode, with the game’s Bronze and Silver stages featuring three divisions each. According to the leaks, the players will need to collect ten stars to progress through each stage.

According to Shaggy_Leaks, gamers can earn stars when playing by performing “ring outs,” “not getting run out,” and “sportsmanship.” The gamers can also lose stars for “disconnects,” ‘losing,’ and ‘self-destructs.’ Players can also earn gold stars after five wins. According to the leaks, the gold stars will act as progress save points that prevent the player’s overall star count from dropping.

MultiVersus will also introduce Ranked Point (RP) progression. The leak revealed that the RP system is set to replace stars at gold rank and above. Gamers will reportedly gain the RPs by winning. On the other hand, players will also be deducted points in the event of a loss. Players with the Master and Grandmaster ranks will also lose 60 RP per day under specific conditions. The deduction will happen if the fighter goes 7 days without playing a ranked match while under 2500RP.

Leak confirms MultiVersus’ ranked mode rewards

MultiVersus is also set to introduce ranked rewards that are attached to achieving several in-game activities. Shaggy stated that rewards files accessed were linked to rank “ring outs.” Shaggy also stated that other ranked rewards would be linked to the player’s rank badges. These rank badges typically display the user’s rank and division.

The details of the leak on X have yet to be confirmed. However, fans will not have to wait long before getting some answers. Through their official X account, MultiVersus is set to make an announcement before the release of the game’s second season on Monday, 22nd, at 9 AM PT.
