The Turkish Grand National Assembly adopted new rules regarding cryptocurrency regulation.
▫️Capital Markets Board (CMB) has the right to control cryptocurrency transactions - "to impose measures and sanctions". (blocking, seizing money, etc.)
▫️Natural persons and legal entities face a prison sentence of 3 to 5 years for operating without a "cryptocurrency service provider" license.
▫️Cryptocurrency fraud is punishable by 14 to 22 years in prison.
▫️Penalties for violating the rules range from $7,500 to $182,600.
