The MAGIC token is the digital currency which underpins the Treasure NFT-aligned metaverse ecosystem which exists on Arbitrum, one of Ethereum’s Layer 2 scaling solutions. The Treasure metaverse environment gives developers the opportunity to launch individual metaverse iterations and also interconnect within the Treasure metaverse directly, as well as with others on the Treasure platform. The MAGIC coin was launched by Treasure founders, John Patten and Gaarp. MAGIC was intended to be the digital currency asset used in the digital economy and implementation of the Treasure decentralized project. MAGIC is an ERC-20 cryptocurrency token, and can therefore be swapped with other Ethereum network cryptocurrencies on the open market. Since the Ethereum Merge, MAGIC is validated using Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus.

On the Treasure platform, users have the opportunity to accumulate MAGIC tokens through gameplay, mining, and engagement with their primary game, Bridgeworld. Presently, Treasure offers twelve additional games; some also facilitate the usage and accumulation of MAGIC tokens similar to Bridgeworld. Notable games include Beacon, a fantasy action rogue-lite RPG accessible freely, and Realm, a game designed around construction and exploration aspects.
