Quant analyst PlanB believes Bitcoin (BTC) is entering a phase that has historically aligned with significant price rallies.
In a recent strategy session, PlanB provided an update on his stock-to-flow (S2F) model, originally used for traditional commodities, which he has now adapted for Bitcoin.
The S2F model predicts an asset's performance based on the idea that its price increases as it becomes more scarce. Historically, PlanB’s S2F model has signaled the start of strong bull runs immediately after the halving, marked by the appearance of a red dot.
“It’s the first month after the halving, and the start of a new cycle. In my opinion, Bitcoin will pump after the halving, as it did in the last cycle in 2020, the one before in 2017, and following the halving in 2012. So, I think we’ll see a pump again, which is the core of the stock-to-flow model, but time will tell.”
