Forecasts for 2024 Come True: This Technology Will Greatly Change Reality
In 2024, it will be exactly 10 years since the famous politician, Swedish entrepreneur, and publicist Rick Falkvinge made a bold prediction about the future of Bitcoin. In early 2014, he said that Bitcoin would change society more than the Internet, but the real changes would become noticeable after 2025. A full understanding of the transformation scales will come to people only by 2035.
Previously, Falkvinge made even bolder predictions about Bitcoin's future. In particular, in 2013 he stated:
“I foresee Bitcoin becoming widely used sometime between 2016 and 2024. First, this will happen among technically advanced users, and then the technology will go to the masses. By 2025, Bitcoin will become a common occurrence in everyday life.”
After 10 years, it can be stated that Falkvinge’s forecast has generally come true. Over the past decade, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have become a part of the daily lives of millions of people around the world. Their use has become commonplace in the financial sector and online trading.
The scale of Bitcoin's influence can only really be compared to the epoch-making changes brought about by the Internet in the mid-90s. And, apparently, in the next decade the world will see even more impressive consequences of the “digital revolution”.
