According to PANews, CoinStats, a cryptocurrency portfolio management company, has been targeted by hackers. The company's CEO, Narek Gevorgyan, announced on an unspecified platform that their AWS infrastructure was compromised. Evidence suggests that the attack was carried out through a malicious software downloaded by an employee.

The attack primarily affected a minority of users who utilize the CoinStats Wallet, accounting for only 1% of the total user base. Gevorgyan expressed sympathy for the victims and pledged to provide support. He is currently awaiting the completion of details by law enforcement agencies to release a detailed report.

In a report last week, it was revealed that the attack on CoinStats had affected 1,590 cryptocurrency wallets, leading to a temporary shutdown of the application.
