According to PANews, leading cryptocurrency research institution Delphi Digital recently published a special report titled 'The Dawn of Bitcoin Programmability: Paving the Way for Rollups'. The report provides a detailed analysis of the rollup technology and its development status within the Bitcoin ecosystem.

In the project introduction section, Delphi Digital highlighted the solutions and technical features of Bitcoin's native second-layer network, Bitlayer. These include the zkSTARK proof system, the unique Bitcoin-Friendly FRI component, the challenge mechanism based on BitVM2, and the OP-DLC dual-channel asset bridge.

The report indicated that Bitlayer's unique Bitcoin-Friendly FRI reduces the number of states that need to be disclosed by two-thirds, which could potentially make L1 verification more efficient.
