According to PANews, the EOS Network Foundation has announced in its official blog that the Spring 1.0 and Savanna consensus algorithm will be the most significant upgrade since the network's inception. The foundation is currently updating the release timeline and community testing guidelines to ensure a smooth rollout and secure transition.

The stable version is scheduled for release on September 4, 2024, with a hard fork or consensus upgrade planned for September 25, 2024. All node operators must prepare for the upcoming hard fork to continue participating in the EOS network.

Once the hard fork is activated, the EOS final confirmation time will be significantly reduced from a few minutes to a few seconds. This major upgrade is expected to enhance the efficiency and performance of the EOS network.
