Crypto users rejoice! Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) transaction fees are at an eight-month low. Bitcoin fees dropped to $1.93 on June 23, while Ethereum fees were a mere $0.70 on June 22. Experts attribute the drop to reduced network congestion and adjustments in mining activities following the latest halving event. However, while this is good news for users, it's not so rosy for miners who rely on fees to offset their costs. On the Ethereum side, the low fees are linked to the Dencun update in March, which made layer-2 activity cheaper, pushing users away and making on-chain activity more affordable.
