TrueFi is a DeFi capital market for crypto-native and real world credit. TrueFi connects lenders with unique earning opportunities presented by borrowers and expert portfolio managers.
TRU is the native token of the project. The current use cases for TRU include:
Governance: TRU holders directly influence the future of the protocol through on-chain voting.
Staking Yield: TRU stakers earn token incentives and a share of protocol revenue for providing lenders partial coverage against default.
Undercollateralized lending: borrowers are able to stake TRU to improve their borrowing limit or terms.
The project consists of the following major components working in conjunction:
Lenders: lend stablecoins to TrueFi’s various pools and portfolios to earn yield on DeFi and real world opportunities.
DAO Allocation Committee (DAC): Composed of expert DAO contributors, the DAC reviews incoming borrower & PM loan requests for creditworthiness, sets lending terms, and guarantees the health of TrueFi’s lending book.
Borrowers & Portfolio Managers (PM): After vetted by TrueFi’s Allocation Committee, borrowers and PM can submit proposals to generate yield on capital sourced on TrueFi for their own business operations. Borrowers and PMs must repay their principal and interest at the end of the loan term or face collections action.
As of July 28th 2022, the total token supply of TRU is 1,441,129,426. The circulating supply is 548,956,194 (~38% of the total token supply).
