Binance Will Support the TomoChain (TOMO) Rebranding to Viction (VIC)

2023-11-06 09:30

Fellow Binancians,

Binance will support the TomoChain (TOMO) rebranding to Viction (VIC).

General

  • Deposits and Withdrawals

    • At 2023-11-20 03:30 (UTC), deposits and withdrawals of TOMO will be suspended. Please ensure that you leave sufficient time for your TOMO deposits to be fully processed prior to this time.

    • Binance will make a separate announcement after the event is complete to notify users when deposits and withdrawals of VIC will be opened.

  • Binance will handle all technical requirements for users who are involved in this event.

  • Users may refer to the announcement from the project team for more information.

Rebranding

  • TOMO tokens will assume the ticker of VIC on Binance (i.e., 1 TOMO = 1 VIC).

Spot

  • At 2023-11-20 03:00 (UTC), Binance will delist all existing TOMO spot trading pairs (i.e., TOMO/BTC, TOMO/TRY and TOMO/USDT) and cancel all pending TOMO spot trade orders.

  • Binance will terminate Trading Bots services for the aforementioned spot trading pairs at 2023-11-20 03:00 (UTC), where applicable. Users are strongly advised to update and/or cancel their Trading Bots prior to the cessation of Trading Bots services to avoid any potential losses.

  • At 2023-11-24 08:00 (UTC), trading will open for the VIC/BTC, VIC/TRY and VIC/USDT spot trading pairs.

Futures

  • At 2023-11-14 08:30 (UTC), Binance Futures will suspend trading for the USDT-Margined TOMO Perpetual Contract. Please note that users are allowed to close any existing positions after this time.

  • At 2023-11-14 09:00 (UTC), Binance Futures will close all positions, conduct an automatic settlement and cancel all pending orders on the USDT-Margined TOMO Perpetual Contract, and delist this contract after the settlement is complete.

    • Users are advised to close any open positions prior to 2023-11-14 09:00 (UTC) to avoid automatic settlement. Please refer to the delisting process of futures contracts for more details.

    • A separate announcement will be made for relisting. Binance Futures may undertake additional protective measures, including but not limited to adjusting the margin tiers including maximum leverage value, position value and maintenance margin in each tier, updating the funding rates including the interest rate, premium, capped funding rate and settlement frequency, changing the constituents of the price index, and using the Last Price Protected mechanism to update the Mark Price.

Margin

  • At 2023-11-07 06:00 (UTC), Binance will suspend TOMO/USDT cross and isolated margin borrowing.

  • At 2023-11-16 06:00 (UTC), Binance will close users’ positions, conduct an automatic settlement and cancel all pending orders on the TOMO/USDT cross and isolated margin pair. If users have any outstanding TOMO cross margin and/or isolated margin loans, TOMO assets held in their cross margin and/or isolated margin accounts may be sold. The TOMO/USDT pair will then be removed from cross margin and isolated margin.

  • A separate announcement will be made for relisting.

  • Classic Portfolio Margin users are advised to transfer TOMO out of their Margin Wallet to their Spot Wallet and to top up their margin balance, if required before 2023-11-16 06:00 (UTC). Users should monitor the Unified Maintenance Margin Ratio (Uni-MMR) closely to avoid any potential liquidation that may result from the removal of TOMO from the Margin Wallet.

  • All TOMO balances in Cross Margin Wallets under the Portfolio Margin account will be automatically converted into USDT. For more information, please refer to this FAQ.

Earn

  • At 2023-11-07 06:00 (UTC), Binance Simple Earn will cease support for TOMO Simple Earn Flexible and Locked Products, and subscriptions will no longer be available.

    • For existing subscriptions, TOMO balances in Simple Earn will be automatically redeemed and credited to users’ Spot Wallets after 2023-11-17 06:00 (UTC)

    • Users may also choose to redeem their assets from TOMO Flexible and Locked Products anytime before 2023-11-17 06:00 (UTC).

Loan

  • At 2023-11-09 08:00 (UTC), Binance Loans (Flexible and Stable Rates) and VIP Loan will close all outstanding loan positions for TOMO. Users are strongly advised to repay their outstanding loans before 2023-11-09 07:59 (UTC) to avoid any potential losses, where applicable.

  • Please refer to the Binance Loans (Stable and Flexible Rates) and VIP Loan FAQs for more information. More details are also available in the Binance Loans and VIP Loan Terms and Conditions.

Binance Pay

  • At 2023-11-20 03:00 (UTC), Binance will remove TOMO from the list of supported cryptocurrencies on Binance Pay.

Gift Card

  • At 2023-11-20 03:00 (UTC), Binance will no longer support the creation of TOMO Gift Cards.

    • While users may proceed to redeem any unredeemed TOMO Gift Cards for TOMO tokens before 2023-11-20 03:00 (UTC), the redeemed tokens will be subject to automatic conversion to new VIC tokens.

    • After 2023-11-20 03:00 (UTC), all unredeemed TOMO Gift Cards will be automatically converted to new VIC tokens.
